FAQs

Trinity Metro’s corporate/community partner program that provides transit discounts to Tarrant County organizations and their associates. Local transit options include TEXRail, Trinity Railway Express (TRE), and all buses and trains of Trinity Metro; regional options include Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), and Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA).

Yes, any organization in the Trinity Metro service area (Tarrant County) can participate.

Organizations select a plan option that meets your specific business needs; customized plans are available upon request. It costs nothing to join the program, you just need to complete an annual agreement with Trinity Metro and decide between an associate-paid or subsidized agreement. After that, your EASYRIDE Ambassador will receive registration instructions along with a unique code for your organization. Then you and your associates are on your way to receiving a 25% discount on transit tickets!

If your organization chooses to cover the costs of transit tickets for associates, that is a subsidized agreement and there are a couple of different ways it can be done. You can pay upfront for a certain number of tickets for employees and you will be responsible for the subsidy amount and sent an invoice to cover costs for the year.

Or you can allow all associates to ride transit for free using a tap card and Trinity Metro will invoice you monthly based on the number of rides taken, capped at the EASYRIDE discount per rider.

If your organization chooses to let associates pay for the tickets directly, that is an associate-paid plan. This can be done in several ways. You can work with your payroll department to have the ticket costs deducted from associates’ earning using pre-tax dollars, or you can have associates pay for tickets online at EASYRIDETICKETS.org or in person at one of our two locations (See question 11).

Your organization may wish to share costs with associates and that is an option as well.

Your organization and associates will receive the transit tickets at a 25% discount with either option through EASYRIDE.

The EASYRIDE Ambassador should work in the following capacity:

  • Be the liaison with Trinity Metro staff on behalf of all participants at your organization.
  • Promote the EASYRIDE program internally and provide associates with the information they need.
  • Keep documentation of participating associates at all times and provide updates to Trinity Metro when associates are no longer with the organization within 10 business days.
  • Schedule monthly engagement activities with Trinity Metro EASYRIDE representative during the first quarter of program enrollment.

Trinity Metro will provide the organization with a digital Implementation Toolkit to help promote the program internally along with other marketing materials. Trinity Metro will also be present for an initial Kickoff event and provide monthly engagements such as, lunch-and-learns, onsite information tables, and more for at least the first quarter of the program.
